I think the run is on for a nice rally that will continue up for a few weeks. I don't think this will be a big rally, just up 15%-20% for the average semi.

The market needed some psychological gastalt therapy. The Asian "crisis" and Clinton "scandal" seems to have been the focus of the cleansing of emotions which seems to have set us up for the move. Maybe that is reading too much into surrounding events but it does fit what I've observed over the years; When the stock or market is up and good news does not move it up further, it is probably near a top. when the market or stock is down and bad or unsettling news does not move it down, it is more likely near a bottom. That's oversimplified but works a lot of the time.
