Nothing is above politicization now.....earth science (my field) went with AGW and "climate change"....yours with COVID and "pandemic"....science is political now......can we get back to the scientific method? I think the answer is YES. The reason is the crazy volume of human communication we have nowadays. Especially the social media. People can’t get away anymore with fake or very weak studies. As soon as they’re published, great numbers of “peer reviewers” move in and analyze every detail. Reputations are made - or destroyed. And that’s important. It is possible that it’s more effective in medical fields - things are more defined. Anyone with some knowledge and a brain can uncover important shortcomings - and others will recognize that. Even if they don’t say anything.
