Trump added that if re-elected in November, he would look to extend the deferral and “terminate” the tax, which funds Social Security and Medicare programs. "

This is the guy who claimed in 2016 that he would "protect" SS and Medicare?!

Anyone who votes him is almost as big an ass as he is. They don't pay attention or they don't think or they actually believe that they are entirely responsible for their own life and well being without regard to the people around them. Which is another way of saying they don't think clearly.

Bill Maher had a guest on last night that was saying Dem's should be bringing up SS and Medicare every time they talk about re-election. Republicans have been trying to go after SS and Medicare for decades and every dem that runs for any office should be reminding people of that fact every time they make a public speech.

As Sam noted, trump promised (big deal) that he wouldn't touch SS and Medicare and now he is going after the source for it's funding.

This guy also mentioned that there are more republicans on SS and medicare than Dems. Which makes this not a real bright move by the orange one. But he has been known to make REALLY stupid decisions in the past.

I thought that entire presser just showed that Trump has no idea what he is doing. Trump has never figured out how our government works, and has no desire to learn. He's really 'sundowning' in these last few appearances. I'm wondering if he'll even make it to Nov.
