Mongo,
It's not a slippery slope at all. Let's define "peaceful protestor", so we're clear about what is happening in this country.

First, to be a lawful protest, the group of people must apply for and secure a permit from the city in which they want to protest. That application must be specific as to time and place. Second, the minute that protest turns to violence or destruction of property, then it is no longer legal and is subject to being declared a riot.

Now, as to what peaceful means. Peaceful is when people are not engaging in physical acts of violence against other people or property. In addition, according to the assault and battery definition, assault is when one person is acting in a threatening manner, such as verbally abusing another person, such as a protestor yelling slurs and epithets at police officers or other people. Battery is when a person spits at, throws something at, or comes into contact with another person. For example, doing those things to a police officer is assault and battery. That person can be charged with assault and battery of an officer and none of this is "peacefully protesting". Conversely, a police officer can end a protest the minute it turns violent in word or deed. In addition, they are allowed and mandated by law to use physical force to detain, arrest, and incapacitate someone breaking the law, so they can be remanded for prosecution.

So 99% of what we have seen by the BLM and Antifa crowds are neither "peaceful" nor are they lawful "protests". Almost all of them have been violent in nature against people and property and very few of them have applied for and secured lawful permits, which means they were not protestors, but were rioters under the definition of the law.

So cut the crap. BLM and Antifa are domestic terror organizations intent on rioting, looting, violence, and their stated aim is to end capitalism and our Democracy and usher in a collectivist, Marxist, Communist system to dominate everyone in the country. Your facade has fallen and we know you for what you people are. You are Marxist Communists.
