Yes, very good point and they may be true, BUT they were still democrats and that's what they stood for... And I fully agree with you that "every group had their dark and criminal side......but as they gained education and power this diminished. But the majority in every group of immigrants including today's work hard every day to better the future for their family." The problem today is that the present day democrat doesn't want people to get ahead, they don't want people educated, they want everyone to be poor and stuck at the bottom of the ladder, this guarantees a bigger and broader voting base in order to hold control of political power... Why would the democrats hold American families hostage and use them as a bargaining chip in order to give illegal entries into the country any stimulus money??? The list of their demands for stimulus money has absolutely nothing to do with the China virus... Why hasn't not even a single democrat in all this time speak out or say anything against rioting and looting??? Where are their ethics and morals??? Do they have any??? Clearly they remain silent so civil upheaval can continue... Why is it not okay for the Democrats for people to gather and worship together but it's perfectly okay to gather at a casino and gamble??? Everyone needs an ID to buy liquor, to drive a car, for most anything today, so what's up with no voter ID? There's no logic or reason for such a regressive rule for the most important thing a citizen can do... Thanks for this real and honest discussion... GZ

"the democrats who voted against civil rights were the remnants of the southern conservatives..." ... which is just another way of saying all conservatives are racist. Like a dog with a bone, liberal/progressives (true racists) just will not let go of this blatant lie. Go ahead and call post Civil War Democrats "southern conservatives" if you want to (debatable) but these racists were members of a Democrat party that is just as racist now as it was then; only today their racism is generally a more subtle form of psychological conditioning, and therefore more ugly and sinister. One small example: To trumpet "black lives matter" is to build on a false, racist assumption that they don't. Each black life, created in God's image, doesn't just "matter" it is sacred. To relegate black lives to the level of merely mattering is to reduce them to the level of plants/animals and sullies both the image and the glory of God.
