Stocks on Fire, by Daniel J. Zanger " 2-2-98 Hello out there stock trading fans. Gee, you guys took me literally. Look at what we can do if we all do it together. We should do this more often. But seriously folks, what a hefty launch we had today in the market. Stocks were popping out all over the place. Many of the search providers were on the move with XCIT leading the way but extended here, and LCOS beginning to peak it's head out to start it's move and YHOO up 2+. Of course these are in addition to the drugs and airlines, many of which are very of extened. I would like to share something with you here as we begin the move, and that is that when the market starts off on big moves like you see here, you need to focus on which stocks had very big moves in the market today. The market is telling you which stocks are hot and which stocks to avoid. Of course some stocks like SKYW is so extended here that it may need a day or two before it moves. So the point here is to find the stocks with big opening spikes and try and get into those stocks as they are sure to have substantial moves, throughout this market move. I would like to add to many of yesterdays stocks and I think it would be wise of you to print out yesterdays list as well as today's list as you will find many of the hottest stocks right here. Also let's don't forget it's ipo time, if and when the good ones come out and oh yes, yesterday tick symbol of that new issue was wrong it's VRSN, and you know it was up another 10+ until it sold off late in the day. So don't touch it for now. As you know I like stocks that are into new highs, but there are some very compelling issues here that you should take a very close look at such as ORBKF. Three days of massive V A with breakaway gaps and huge E it's hard to resist. ANEN is set to go tomorrow. PEGA nice V A and and nice rounded bottom to go with it. CLST looks like it could get back some of it's luster. TKLC well I told you so yesterday. It's up 4+ today. SMMT continues to impress, HYSW is going up in the handle on V dry up. Wait until the V kicks in. THRX went so fast from 40 to 50. This stock is sure to go to 60 + but may need a little rest here. AMZN has put in enough time to smoke and looks to go. SFSK has the proper base and is finally on the move up 4 today. CYBX this stock has such massive V A and V % change it's sure to be a very big winner. Again IDTC is the same as CYBX and a very tight base to go along with it. NSPR I love this kind of pattern 3 days of pointing up, telling me which way its going to go. Looks to be the next CNC? Well I must confess that I did buy LCOS today as the group is hot. I still like SKYW and it could turn in a few days and spurt up 6+ points as well ALK which is Alaska Air. EMC and GDT also look good, same with STRX which I gave you here 10 days ago at 35 and is now at 40+ on the way to 45. And let's not overlook SPLN as it's got some olympic stuff on the web and as you know it olympic time so be prepared to hang on to this one.
