Thanks for the link I don't personally know anything about ELNK.....I'll look into it....I believe, from the posts I read, that they are an ISP? I believe that Mr. Betty is wrong..... Can you believe I am saying that a CEO is wrong? ADSL will be offered to the masses by the end of this century.....And not nearly as expensive as Mr. Betty would leave you to believe....the RBOCs have 2 choices. Offer high speed data or lose customers....It is that simple....people are screaming for BANDWIDTH....However, they will not pay the 70 per month Mr. Betty is talking about...that would equate to $840 a month....RIDICULOUS..... Don't mistake me.....IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE to provide this stuff....However, ISP's have horrible business models....they aren't profitable for the most part...the RBOC's, if aggressive enough, can DESTROY them.....they have the copper, the name brand, the customers (due to their phone lines), etc.....they can offer this service for approximately $40 a month and break even if my numbers were correct......I believe, and many I have talked to also believe, that ADSL will be the entry of many phone companies into the ISP business.....ADSL offers voice and data over the same phone line simultaneously....This is a change over the traditional ISP business model.....However, what about NATIONWIDE ADSL?...This I am unsure about.....Perhaps some agreements will occur.... Finally, if the CEO of a publicly traded company has enough time to post to SI I DON'T want to be invested in that company.....MAKING ME MONEY is what I want, as a shareholder, the CEO to be doing...Don't get me wrong, he is entitled to fun but him posting on SI causes hairs to raise on my back....(I don't have hair on my back...speaking figuratively) DON'T GET UPSET ROGER!!!!
