Respond to of 1578294 Tenchu's Thoughts: "Damaging property is not violence," says Harvard-educated doctor and public health researcher Here's a doozy for those of you who don't suffer from the leftist mentality. Adam W. Gaffney tweeted the following words:PSA: Damaging property is not, has never been, and never will be “violence.” Conflating the two is an insult to those who have actually suffered from violence. I won't spend much time on how stupid that statement was. Most of us know what violence is. You plant a bomb, it blows up a building, that's violence. You set off fires, that's violent protest. Doesn't matter if no one was hurt. Doesn't matter if MSNPC reports that this below is "mostly a protest": I'll just focus on the author of that dumbass tweet, Adam W. Gaffney. Of course, if you go to his Twitter page, you'll see that the coward's tweets are no longer public: Hence you'll have to rely on others who took screenshots of his stupid-ass tweet, such as this guy: Or you could rely on Google to save the words contained in the now-hidden tweet:"So what, Tenchu?" You might be asking me, "So what, Tenchu? Have you seen what Trump tweets on a daily basis? Besides, most people on Twitter say dumbass things that they later regret." But take a look at this guy's self-proclaimed credentials: - Critical care doctor - Public health researcher - Writer - President of @PNHP (Physicians for a National Health Program) - Harvard Medical School First of all, he's a doctor. But not just any run-of-the-mill family health practitioner. He is also an instructor at Harvard Medical School, so you would assume that he's in the top one percent of smartest people in America. Second, he's an author of a book, which means there was a publisher who considered his book to be worthy of printing and selling. Third, he's the president of a significant political advocacy group. And fourth, he's a public health researcher, which means he's the kind of guy that comes up with "scientific studies" that "prove" BLM protesters are immune from COVID-19. I already talked about such a study in a previous edition of Tenchu's Thoughts. "Qualified Expert" All this means that Adam Gaffney is considered to be a "qualified expert" in all matters regarding public health. Indeed, he is quoted in many media articles on these issues. "But but Tenchu? What does this have to do with BLM or his twisting of the word 'violence'?" Because BLM is being defined as a public health crisis : Risking Their Lives To Save Their Lives: Why Public Health Experts Support Black Lives Matter Protests What does it mean to declare racism a public health crisis? Addressing racism as a public health crisis Usually you'd think of the following as examples of a public health crisis: - COVID-19 (duh) - Smog and other air quality issues - HIV - Obesity and Type-2 diabetes - Cancer - Heart disease You know, stuff that can be medically diagnosed . But as far as I know, there is no medical diagnosis for racism. Said no doctor ever, "I'm sorry, but you are suffering from a case of the racist virus. There is no cure, but we can put you on a 12-step program to help deal with its symptoms."The Smartest People, the Dumbest Policies The bottom line is this. A guy who is as smart as Adam Gaffney is willing to blatantly redefine the word "violence" to suit his political agenda. (By the way, this is a prime example of postmodernism, which I have always argued is the greatest threat to modern civilization today. Even Trump is a product of postmodernism.) He's not doing this because he's stoopid. He's not doing this because English is supposedly his second language. Instead, he's doing this to fool the masses and gain power over them. He's doing this to align himself with the VIOLENT mob, because if he can convince people that the mob isn't violent, that they are indeed "mostly peaceful protesters" as the media constantly tells us they are, they will accept any solution, any law, any infringement on our individual rights that he proposes. And if you dare question his logic, he and the masses will accuse you of being a racist, a science-denier, and an oh-so-backwards Trump supporter. Oh noes! In short, this is the way that smart people push dumb policies and expect the rest of us to go along with it. Tenchusatsu
