Taguchi was a Japanese EE. He applys stats from DOEs (Design of Experiments) and comes up with a Signal to Noise Ratio on all variables. Signal to Noise Ratio is like your car radio the closer you get to the stations tower the better the signal. The higher the ratio, the more meaningful the variable. The ones with 'high' noise, low ratios, need not be looked at as closely. Also interactions between variables can be determined. This can work on any process so as data can be quantified in a relative manner. That is the hardest part designing the experiment.

Any sugestions? Basically have to pick things to measure and define limits and a end result. Which at first would probably things like volume, large blocks, number up+dns....

I may be way off here, I don't know enough available indicators and there effects YET to make a good experiment. Also need to pick up some software that allows one to program.
