It depends on what you consider great earnings. If your definiton of great earnings are meeting concensus earnings, then I am very confident. With the concensus being .07 I am optimistic that earnings wil be .08 or .09. I wouldn't rule out .10, but it would not be wise for me to base any investment strategy I had based on that figure.

I base this for several reasons, most importantly in the month of December, Mr. Dorfman was very comfortable with the concensus estimates. I have spoken to Todd on numerous occasions, the most recent 2 days ago. He has always maintained that they are very comfortable with the concensus estimates. Never have they said, we might make it or it will be close or I don't know. Tied in with those responses is the fact that everything they have told me was going to happen has. Mr. Dorfman, Mr. Levinson and Mr. Atenhan have never hesitated to take my calls. I believe they have answered every question sincerely and honestly( except telling me exactly what the earnings are going to be <g> ) Both Mr. Dorfman and Mr. Atenhan have told me that they would rather state a lower concensus number and report to the surprise side than to fall short of earnings estimates.
I just don't see them being short.

Without expanding into great detail, the following are other reasons

1. The Johnson agreement
2. SAH exclusive warranty agreement
3. Better than expected car sales for every month of the last quarter
4. Company has been able to control costs as demonstrated in the last few quarters therefore having the increased revenues enhance the bottom line.

The first two really would have only impacted the sales for the fourth quarter so they won't have as much of an affect. Anything they do bring will not have been anticipated.

I have not relied on anyone else to supply me the information. I have made my decision on research and conversations with the company and I like the possibilities. Everyone needs to do what will make them comfortable.
