Sorry, the Dems who voted against civil rights acts before and in 1964 literally produced Democrats like James Earl Carter, Bill Clinton, and Al Gore. They were staunch supporters of FDR's social programs though. In that respect, they were as liberal as northern Democrats. That is why I specifically used the terms conservative and liberal and not Democrat and Republican. That you have to do that nullifies your anti-Republican bigotry. You Republicans always resort to that trick, just like you try to claim Lincoln who was a northeast LIBERAL! Lincoln wasn't a liberal in any respect. Why do you think African Americans vote over 90% democratic? Mainly because of LBJ. And why are there only two African American Republicans in congress and one isn't running for reelection? After Trump there may be none. The current Republican leader is a white nationalist.
