The Democratic party gave them the greatest gift of all, the power to manifest their destiny.

The power to protect themselves from those who have harmed them for the last 400 years and would harm them now..

What they do with it is in their hands now.

But it is in their hands, not in the hands of the racists.

The racists are on the run.

And what have they accomplished, with that power, or what have we helped them accomplish? What have we done in the last 50 years to improve the lives of black people? Good water for Flint? Clean air in Cancer Alley? Rebuilding the inner cities? More home ownership? Restoration of the voting rights act? Closing the wealth gap? Decreased gun violence? What have we done for black businesses?

Is the best we have "We gave you power, vote for us"?
