I watched Ben's two latest video's this AM as I enjoyed my morning coffee and I had a moment of revelation of sorts. Now the disclaimer .. lol. I'm very wet behind the ears on this stuff but here goes.

Our magnetosphere is weakening and the solar wind is increasing and so the level of ( in my words) static is increasing. The result is different weather ex-streams one of which is Ben's lighting super bolt, and it seems that the number are increasing. It's like when the humidity gets real low and we get static discharges everywhere .. lol. It's just when the earth builds a higher level of charge or static we get theses ex-streams .. just a theory. I wonder what effect it has on people.

So for all the electrical engineers my question is, grounding. Taking to account this situation is it better to be grounded or not .. lol. Taking a line from the first Jurassic Park flick, hold on to yer butts.

C 7.4 solar flare.
Earth directed.
Incoming CME will join a corotating region at impact in less than 2 days.
Will provide a good gauge on how our weakened magnetosphere will handle stronger events to come.
