I requested an application from my deep discount broker, to start on options. I currently have a cash account and was thinking whether they will leave my account as a cash account if my only interest would be to purchase puts and calls without writing any, or would it be mandatory to change it to a margin account?? I know the best source is them (broker) but while waiting for the paperwork, thought I'd ask.
