SMTC presented at the Montgomery Tech Conference yesterday afternoon (3:10PST). I did not attend the conference, but rumor has it that SMTC is a top pick of Montgomery analyst Douglas Lee.

It will be interesting to see how the stock reacts today against the backdrop of downgrades on the semiconductor equipment stocks from Thomas Kurlak (ML) . This could rain on the parade.

I think we broke the 200 DMA already with 1.2M volume. Are we ready for $28?

Thanks

>>If Tomcat were smart, she will be gone by the time SMTC's rally commences (in about 2-3 weeks, around earnings time).<<

I'd say a 20% rise in two days qualifies as a rally.

Just to say thanks to Todd D. Wiener.

After seeing your recommendation and analysis of SMTC over the THQI thread in Dec. 1997, I finally overcame my fear of SMTC recent volatility and got in yesterday. I am sure glad that I did. Without your detailed analysis, I would never have the gut to jump in. I have learned to value your opinion from the THQI thread.

Once again, thanks for recommending SMTC.
