I heard today there is already a bill in the US Congress that contains the exact language of AB5.

The bill responsible for destroying a source of income for hundreds of thousands was endorsed by both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
That’s the problem with being taken for granted. To paraphrase James Baker’s line — screw places like California and NY, Dems will have their votes anyway.

But what a nutty law! The state wanted them to treat drivers as employees, paying them an hourly wage - instead of based only on the rides they provide. Considering the inflated minimum wage and the cost of benefits, they were right to shut down...probably wouldn’t make it anyway.
