Doug,

Perhaps its not so much being able to predict who will win, the bulls or the bears, but to know which day is critical. It reminds me of a giant game of chicken, and on XY - AB day, someone has to suddenly move out of the way. The bears looked like they were in charge, but at the last moment, they proved to be "chicken" in the light of strong earnings. Stay tuned....

To this entire thread....and mostly new/novice investors.......your apology to thread was needed, I nor mr smith's assertions, are not WRONG, but are based on FACT. I'm glad you wield so much power that you think no one else here will respond. Go back and read some of your followers posts which are littered with personal insults/attacks. Some called mr butcher an idiot, some called him a "PITA" w a giggle. Some suggested mr butcher or i were inexperienced. Well, I can tell you that MIM, MIMBO, DEAD CAT and IL are all terms that seem to amuse your followers and they seem to enjoy talking in those terms. I once asked you to define the IL only to get a response to the nature that it was only an "impossible line", a price to which the stock sould not rise. Based on what?? What kind of technical analysis is that? Who are YOU to apply an IMAGINARY line as to where a stock should or should not be....this is not TA, by the way, but a guessing game. I think that the astute people here will, if they read mr smith or my posts, see that we in fact are the ones who have acted in a responsible way. I hope all the followers you seem to have buy books and learn true technical analysis. I would guess that most who follow you and beg your opinions abviously are not doing the work on their own. I would suggest "Trading for a living" by dr. Alexander Elder. It will explain the psychology of such hype and suspect TA that is applied here. It will teach you some basic charting methods which can be applied simply or to great extent.I wish you the best Doug, sincerely. I did NOT come to pick a fight. If that is your perception of being asked direct questions, then I don't suspect you gain much from others input. It seems that you enjoy posting and being popular on si. I do not care how many people have me bookmarked. I am here to learn and ask/discuss strategies w fellow investors. I am sorry if you interpreted my legitimate questions as an attack. All NEW investors beware and do research and please learn about equities before following self appointed teachers and gurus. You will all be happier and save more money in the long run.
i am open for any serious inquiries regarding TA or would enjoy sharing your ideas. I do not want hostile responses.
