John, I've been preaching that message on here for some time....KISS. The worst thing the consumer electronics manufacturers can do is to flood the consumer with competing TV standards and incompatible gizmos. HDTV is simple to understand. You get about four to five times better video resolution, Dolby 5.1 surround system and a much wider picture screen (especially great for movies and sports). All the rest is just vaporware gibberish to the typical consumer, representing 90% of the consumer electronic's market.
