True but there much more expensive metals that have same quality in the modern world like "rare earth" metal or even Li or Mo or Hf or Y and the list is long, well they do not glitter, but more valuable. <ggg>

For example with the advancement of VHTR that work at around 1,000C, you cannot use steel or even Hastealloy or Inocel, but adding tantalum and hafnium your ceramic turbine blades they can work very well at those temperatures and the efficiency of a combined H2 cycle turbine setup can reach easily over 85% compare to barely 60% on regular turbine @500C in a combined cycle setup
