Personal preference - SIVR is much better than SLV; PSLV is the best.

PSLV - all physical silver, stored at the Canadian mint and audited annually.
SIVR - probably fully backed by physical silver
SLV - questionable

GLD is a trading vehicle only; legal wording in prospectus provides zero guarantees.

we share faith in SLV
am in / out PAAS and SIL, and
all I know about silver is that it has more vroooomm than gold, is mostly a byproduct, and is actually useful

right now I am actually 'short' silver by being long SLV put, because I am counting on the silver volatility to hedge my too-large gold metal and miner exposures.

whilst cash is trash am less willing to part w/ gold, so must use silver to hedge. not perfect given silver : gold ratio etc etc but it is what it is. Besides, the hedge is also a trade.

the only 'thing' that is not a trade for me is physical gold, my core position, against which I neither short paper equivalent not sell. A part of trading profit, when any, goes physical; a sort of mountain-climbing exercise.

am not big on metal trading conspiracies, but sure, at times the banks participate large in the market as they are supposed to.

together the two metals make good coasters :0)
