I was in Baja a few years ago staying at Rancho Pescadero, we went to the local town Todos Santos for drinks and wound up at the actual Hotel California.

Isopatch, I saw news of that proposed California wealth tax last week.

There is no way that tax, even if it is passed, can hold up in court. It stretches the imagination to claim that wealth, which was accumulated while living in California, can continue to be taxed even after leaving California. That violates the limits of state jurisdiction, and it shows complete and utter denial by the lawmaker who is making that claim.

But this is the People's Republic of California, and where there's a will, there's a way.
