If buyers in China want a high-end phone, the locally produced Apple is going to be one of the few options with Huawei out of the game.

Who is going to shoot themselves in the face limiting phones on offer to just backward Soviet style phones with ancient technology?

China source of hard currency are the foreign companies.

The reason the Chinese fight so hard to keep Huawei alive is because the company sell in foreign markets.
