The cop did exactly what he was trained to do.

The perpartrtor already had his knife or was going for it as they found it at his fingertips.

The cops will be exonerated.

Again the worst decision the man ever made in his life and is now a paraplegic.

Do you think today he wished he was smart enough to listen to the cops?

You saw him in a fight and then walk away after beating up those cops.

Warrent out for his arrest on sexual assult with a restraining order out against him. Correct?

So if the cops walked away and he went back and beat and killed his wife???????

7 shots - yes, everyone questions the number, including me.
But I am also in favor of letting the process play out - no rush to judgment.
The officer was issued a semi automatic hand gun - doesn't take much time to fire off 7 rounds, especially when you are pumped with adrenaline.

As for the law, there is no limit on the number of shots.
If an officer believes his life is at risk, then he is legally allowed to use his weapon to eliminate the danger (shoot to kill).
Don't like that law, then don't fight with cops, resist arrest or disobey their commands.

For those interested, here is a very smart lawyer's early account of the incident (very close to the police union statement on Friday) and discussion of the law.

Note 1: this guy is meticulous about facts and legal nuances – former prosecutor and defense attorney.

Note 2: outstanding warrant for sexual assault - Blake was not an innocent bystander getting into his car.

Warning: SWC does write from a right wing perspective

As noted above, the Kenosha Police Union issued a statement on Friday, providing a few more details.

As more and more video is released, the Kid (Kyle Rittenhouse) with the assault rifle will probably end up a hero for the 2nd amendment advocates

Whoever decided to take a 17 year old to a riot is an idiot, but that is now a secondary issue.

In the afternoon, Kyle was seen scrubbing graffiti from walls.
Early evening, he rushes to obtain a fire extinguisher to put out a dumpster fire started by the protesters.
The first person he shot (injured the man's arm) was about to execute Kyle by putting a bullet through his head - Kyle fired one round that knocked the hand gun out of the guy's hand.

Here's a captioned picture that will shock some but is being celebrated by the far right.
Yes, they all had rap sheets.
