Please - cops are human, they do not encounter a life or death situation every week, not even every month. Let the investigators complete their work. Obey commands, do not resist arrest, do not threaten a cop and there is a 99.999% likelihood that you will not be killed. Explain to your cop spouse how she needs to wait until she sees that someone resisting arrest (pursuant to a warrant) has actually pulled a gun out of the side pocket of the driver's side door and has the weapon pointed at her head before she is allowed to fire a shot in self defense. Play stupid games - win stupid prizes. Actions have consequences. My parents taught me to listen to the cops and do what I was ordered. Otherwise, the consequences could be severe (jail).
