Dan Bongino, a media personality on FOX, was once an NYC police officer and then a member of the Secret Service. He maintains that the worst situation he encountered during his several year stint as a cop was when he and his partner responded to a domestic dispute. The man was "only" armed with a knife. However, the man was so filled with rage that nothing was going to prevent him from violently hurting the woman. Luckily, the two cops were eventually able to subdue and arrest the man without injury to anyone.

Based on this experience, Dan believes it is pure folly to think that unarmed social workers should be sent to defuse domestic disputes. That's what some of the "Defund the Police" movement want to see happen.
