Trump showed his shitty character then, he showed it when he put down McCain for being a POW (about the same time in 2015), he even showed it back in the Clinton years when he called all Clinton's accusers liars because they were hideously ugly. He did it again when he praised China's leaders for crushing the Tiananmen Square uprising with "strength."
