Not only that, it is becoming increasingly acceptable for the president to just do what he believes has to be done. Jonathan Turley, when Obama became “The Imperial President”, warned us that Obama was creating a lot of dangerous precedent. Trump resisted for a long time. But at this point, the spending is viewed as essential, even though it is merely convenient. I like Trump, I will vote for him over Biden any day, but I wish he’d quit dumping mounds of money into paying people to not work. I never thought it made sense and I’m more sure of it today than ever.
