Paul - I believe that global low cost information service providers will grab an increasing market share just as low cost,high quality foreign producers of products have gained major market shares over the last 20 years. It's really not appropriate to compare hard products like electronics, cars, etc. with software... fundamental issue is that the production of physical products is an engineering discipline (building factories, specifying the products, etc.)... software is a loooooong way from being an engineering profession, despite what fancy job titles would have us believe. Yes, there are certainly pockets of excellent software 'engineering' efforts, but you can count them on your fingers & toes. - David
