--let Kyle just walk away?-- if this is after kyle shot the first person, kyle was a threat to shoot another person. so, it's sensible for someone with courage and concern about the safety of others to follow kyle and yell in order to warn others that kyle was dangerous. it's not possible to know whether those who were shot during the chase intended to kill him or intended to take the gun from him, in order to stop his ability to kill. and mind-reading of the dead is beyond the fact. the u.s. has become a hysterical state.
