Unfortunately, Reinoehl may well skate free unless cops can retrieve the gun and match ballistics.
No video has emerged showing Reinoehl shooting Aaron.
Yes, he was in the immediate vicinity very shortly after the shooting.
But that does not prove he pulled the trigger.

If Reinoehl is never charged, vigilante justice may eventually be deployed.
NOT good, but that's the state of the country these days.

--do not say boo about the real slaughter.--

i lived in a large city where, in the inner, gangs killed each other at the rate of
1 per day. nearly all of these were latinos killing other latinos. don't recall them
ever killing anyone who was not suspected of being in a gang. it must have
happened but never saw such in a newspaper.

that city was led by a moderate conservative administration, with policing directed
by someone with reagan and, later, trump affiliation. at the time, it seemed like the
policing strategy was: kill each other but don't kill outside the gangs.

Michael Reinoehl just confessed in a video but claims the victim had a knife - he just screwed himself.
Appears that there is a PR effort to pressure the DA to not charge.
If that is not successful, then Reinoehl is in serious jeopardy.
Also, no statute of limitations on murder.
Even if this DA doesn't press charges, the successor could charge him down the road.
