Mark may be assuming a temporary low profile. Presuming to answer your question, the sound of it is that MTI is in the process of doing the selecting themselves. Frank Yoshino's email to me did NOT indicate that they would then require shareholder approval. Here is Franks email dated 1-16-98: << We have been told by Nasdaq we need one more outside board member. We are currently in the process of obtaining another member to satisfy this requirement. >> The tone of it more recently is that this is all but a done deal and they won't need shareholder approval.
