That was such a touching tribute by her husband. Over my years on SI, I developed "something" like a friendship with only a small handful of others, and Poet was one of those friends. I just looked up some of our old PMs and recalled how she was always kind to me, thoughtful and funny. Back in those days SI was a little more like a soap opera sometimes, with huge personalities, schisms, rebellions, affairs, schemes and lawsuits. Also, though, there was a lot of fun (grubs anyone?) and plenty to laugh about. I had a lot of laughs with Poet.

That hurts. She was awesome! She was a great cook and a great writer.

Man, too young.

I remember Poet well. Despite our political views, I loved her poetry and sensitivity. At one point I wrote the following for her. Memory fades, but I think she was complaining about how her husband seemed to be paying more attention to his boat building than he was to her. I could be wrong on that, but here goes.
