Sheesh, has this link gone dead! Nobody want to comment on the TechWeb revelation of Adobe's future products?

techweb.com

Seems to me the story was pretty compelling (rapidly growing corporate/pc adoption of Adobe products) even before finding out how Adobe plans to leverage PhotoDeluxe success in consumer market. Am really pretty surprised this hasn't been picked up anywhere else besides TechWeb -- seems like Adobe's been keeping product plans extremely close to their chest prior to this. And new products is what the analysts have all been screaming for, since they apparently lacked faith in Adobe's ability to grow based on expanding markets for old products (which nonetheless seems to be a gold mine in itself).

Stock has been suffering due to poor results of some companies peripherally related to Adbe's postscript business -- SPLH and EFII. Big deal -- meanwhile Xerox is kicking butt with sales of Postscript printers. But Postscript is only 25% of the story with Adbe anyway. Am curious about Adobe's competitor Xionics taking such a big hit -- wonder if this may indicate a weakening of XION's hold on HP clone business, and maybe an opportunity for Adobe to step back in. Seems like the color inkjet business is still up for grabs, with both XION and ADBE developing products (Adbe color printgear).

Adbe has certainly been hiring and re-org'g for high anticipated growth. Granted the stock has been down (along with tech in general) since OCT, but that's what we pay ourselves the big bucks for -- to anticipate FUTURE trends. I'd say the elements are in place for a pretty big year for adbe, with the stock mainly suffering the last few months from lack of news.

Come on guys, this used to be the most respectable, intelligent stock discussion site I've seen. Have you all moved your discussions of ADBE to some other site I don't know about?

I hate playing Monday night quarterbacking, but I expected Adobe to fall into the 30s because of the Asia problems, so I sold @ 41.5

I still feel good about the company, so I will be in again at some point.
