Rarebird,
I am liberal with other people's money because the wealth gap is astronomical and needs to be narrowed.
And yet, being "liberal" with other people's money is exactly what happened in New York, and it is exactly the reason why you fled the state.

The greatest gap between rich and poor in America can be seen in "blue states" and "blue cities." These are the areas that have tried as hard as they could to "spread the wealth."

Of course, failures in liberalism only means we didn't have enough liberalism, right? Just gotta do it at the federal level. And if that doesn't work, at the global level.

Centralized control is the goal. Being "liberal" with other people's money is exactly why liberalism fails every single time it's tried.
