Yes, but the state has not been run by Democrats. TX govt has been pretty bipartisan. A couple of TX governors have changed party from D to R (Rick Perry, John Connelly), Ann Richards was governor before W, and W's lt governor was Democrat Bob Bullock. The lt governor in TX runs the State Senate and controls the state budget.

Most of the California regulations that kill jobs and raise the cost of living have been at the state level.

Which fits with what I said.

I hear it from Texans all the time, how they detest ex-pats from California bringing their failed "blue state" policies with them. Same with people in Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, etc.

I say it all the time. TX Dems are more business friendly.
