So, China did not embargo rare earths, during this past decade. And the fact that it is still apparently trying to comply with the first phase of the trade pact means that it is not yet ready to push the USA over. My estimate is that the pushover date will be around 2025.

Last decade saw the US achieve energy independence, a great deal, that, unfortunately for the US, becomes less and less relevant as the green religion is taking over. In other matters the US is falling mostly behind.
