Just recevied a call from an friend who works near Penn Station.

He called from his beach house in Marshfield ,MA

I asked when is the last time he was in the office? February.

When will he return? The soonest January.

I have got to say glad to be an observer, not a participant.

I have no idea when gravity takes over this insanity.

John You believe in fairy tales , right?

Re <<destruction in retail and office?>>

awesome destruction of certain kinds of real estate, especially city centre

in HK the large restaurant rental is crushed (30% drop in rent if even transacted), but little (no or few tables, but lots of takeouts) eateries are booming (no drop in rent)

net net, mathematically speaking, fantastic destruction, as if there is no tomorrow, and who can know, there might not be

anyone w/ mortgage on any rental property has the symbol 'X' imprinted on forehead

bankers impressed not by property holdings, but by gold held, and not paper gold

Re <<capitalism will survive?>> yes, but only in places where socialism does not triumph.

Let us watch the California referendums coming up.
