Just received this from Canaccord gold update:Although drilling is not expected to resume until probably the
beginning of Q2/98, we continue to note strong accumulation in three
companies that plan to reactivate exploration in the South Voisey's
Bay camp. In early December, joint-venture partners Donner Minerals
DML : VSE : $1.40 : Issued 31.0M) and Northern Abitibi Mining (NAI :
ASE : $1.19 : Issued 31.0M) announced the intersection of 15.7 m of
massive sulphides which yielded 1.13% Ni, 0.78% Cu, and 0.20% Co. We
consider this to be a discovery hole, and clearly it is the first,
wide drill intercept produced outside the original discovery by
Diamondfields. The other company under active accumulation with
property in the South Voisey's Bay camp, and on which we understand
additional drill holes are planned, is Cypress Minerals (CYP : VSE :
0.35). We continue to favour this exploration camp, and on any
weakness would recommend accumulation.
