Breaking News: Donald Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by a far-right Norweigian MP. Here's what this actually means: 1. Nearly any politician or college professor can nominate someone for a Nobel Prize. 2. The politician who nominated Trump is a far-right-wing, anti-immigration ideologue. So despite conservatives trying to use it as such, this is not some international approval of Trump's bigotry. 3. Trump was nominated in 2018 for his outreach to North Korea but did not win because his approach to N. Korea almost led to war. 4. Hitler and Mussolini also were nominated for Nobel Prizes.
