Check the AMEX web site, if interested, for the exact composition and calculation of BTK.

I could suggest the same to you. The index is calculated on a regularly adjusted market-weighted basis. If interested, you could check and see that the majority of issues on the BTK are down today.

I consider the BTK a "best case" estimate of what biotechs are doing. If interested, you could go into the second and third tiers and see that "biotech" is doing poorly today. Today's CORRosion is and will have a deleterious effect on the sector.

A better indication would be to compare this weeks BTK to this weeks LGND -- Anyone have that info readily available?

Thanks, for index comments,

I had the IBX (down about 1.50) and just added the BTK (down over 5) to my Yahoo coverage. What stocks do they represent/ in general do you know the "jist" of the difference (IE big cap vs small cap)?
