>>> Most of the time the small company gets killed or "absorbed." <<<

"Squeeze them by the neck until they're dead," Bill said, "it's as good as SEX!"

Remember STAC Electronics?

Lawsuits galore! They settled for a pittance, Microsoft incorporated their technology into Windows and the stock lost 2/3 of its value and has never recovered.

Ah... I could tell ya stories.

Burt:

<<when was the last time any small company had a venture with Microsoft and made money from it? I can't remember a single time>>

I think anti-trust worries will keep Microsoft's behavior in check for now.
