I won't miss coal.. One of he saddest things about NG is the unnecessary flaring .. treating it as a useless byproduct when in fact it is the thing they should be using.. not the oil... NG home heating already can burn 98/99% efficient .. (and hence SHOULD be mandated to do so) Everything about the system is better.. intake of clean air, ie no negative pressure BS.. Simple PVC unobtrusive piping .. No chimney... especially if we continue to keep jamming folks into cities.. renewables will not do it in the north without destroying huge swaths of arable land.. and/or meaning more huge transmission line networks.. Renewables hold the promise of eliminating so many negative things in our society.. Internet infrastructure and renewables can spread us out..

I hope no one ever considers me anti reneweables.. I am anti using them to prop up the current bad system... They hold the promise of replacing it...
