Excuse me? The president has almost no authority in the Constitution. Article 1 is the longest, the first and the most important branch of government. It has the power to remove judges and presidents. The courts and the executive can't remove judges (though impeachment) or members of Congress. The courts have no power whatsoever to enforce their rulings. We (the country) can literally ignore their rulings and they have no power to enforce them.

Our founders didn't trust the courts or the executive branches of government so they gave the power to impeach to the House and the power to remove to the Senate.
