It has its pluses and minuses like your system has.. OUR PM (I have said as much before .. we elect a temporary king) .. If the King cannot keep enough minions (MPs) he is out of favour and vulnerable.. Right now Trudeau is in a minority position meaning he needs count on the good graces of other parties to stay in power and what he wants to do is limited.. Personally I do not like minority governments.. Little gets done and we look more American :) He cannot afford to turf any minions.. so no far from a dictatorship.. but more gets done.. and that WAS NOT AS DIG.. you guys vote on pres as the B all and end ALL when REALLY CONGRESS is the POWER... The Prez, Obama. Bush, Trump.. is at the mercy of congress.. yet the prez takes all the heat when $hit happens.. You're ( posted this on my fav Lib thread a few times and they get as pi$$ed off as you will :)) gov was founded by a bunch of rich White land and slave owners.. THAT WAS WE THE PEOPLE .. The revolution was essentially a corporate takeover in the grandest US tradition from the Brits.. by a bunch of Oligarchs.. And you KNOW I AM RIGHT.. They gave the franchise reluctantly to the smaller landowners to be able to raise an army .. ALSO FACT...
