What Australia needs to do is convert the Liddell coal plant to natural gas, rather than receiving a pittance for exporting their east coast gas as LNG. - theconversation.com

The government is open to someone developing a better alternative, but will proceed with natural gas if the magic solution to non-stop power doesn't emerge.

You may need give back some desert.. or LOTS.. which is good for climate change :)

The watering of the desert is an environmental travesty little discussed.. because it makes lots of money... but no different than oil drilling..The negative effects are FAR REACHING
