Liquid hydrogen is corrosive to metals. An LNG tanker can't carry hydrogen.

Kawasaki completed building the very first experimental liquid hydrogen tanker only last year. The design will change over time as they discover what goes wrong with it.
.

But here's the joke . . . Kawasaki built the tanker to transport hydrogen produced from coal in Australia, creating the typical CO2 and other emissions associated with coal.

Japan idiotically considers this a "green project" because hydrogen from coal creates no CO2 emissions in Japan. That will protect the planet- energylivenews.com
