folks say there is not 'enough' gold as money-backing to meet imperatives of global loan and world commerce markets

I understood the saying to mean that gold is not yet expensive enough to qualify as backing for fiat money

below noted initiative in Singapore helps to liquify gold, so that together w/ other happenings, eventually gold might serve as backing to paper money

I am not in favour of gold put to such use, as official standard

I champion free-gold, that which stands alone as other not-gold can be measured against
