I'm not sure about the drivers. I had used Zip's before, so I just plugged it in and it worked. It has an installation disk, but I didn't need it.

The Zip Plus used DB25 for both SCSI and parallel. Hmmm, now that I think about it, the AutoDetect circuitry *MIGHT* be in the cable. You have to use the cable that Iomega includes with the drive, but it's the same cable whether you're using parallel or SCSI.

If Michael is right then Iomega is probably using a propriety cable (this is stupid imo).

Regarding the external EIDE case, I tried them and yes they are not very useful and not very portable. I won't recommend it.
