Salomon S. Barney's Acuff Sees Easing Asian, Earns Fears NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Salomon Smith Barney Inc. equity strategist Marshall Acuff termed the market's recent upswing a "feeling better rally," citing easing concerns about the Asian crisis and earnings anxieties. "Investors have been very cautious as we enter the new year," he said in an interview with CNBC Thursday. Recently, however, there has been "good value in many stocks." Acuff's assessment came in reaction to comments about the U.S. economic condition made Thursday by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. Acuff said he found companies with consistent growth to be attractive. Specifically, he named Walt Disney Co. (DIS) Textron Inc. (TXT) and Paychex Inc. (PAYX)..... interactive2.wsj.com
