Hi James,

Oh, I agree, but sadly, even bad art is art and
sells at the box office, and sex sells newspapers
and increases newscast ratings. (sigh) It's not
like any politician will stand up and perform
Mozart's Symphonie Concerti for two violins any
time soon.

And then again, how do we really know what appeals
to the public taste? Did you know that Decca
Records turned down the first bid for the Beatles
because they said, "The Beatles sound terrible and
guitar music is on the way out." That was in 1964.
Has anyone ever heard of Decca Records today? Hmmmm...go figure.
